Hirut Thompson is a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and is passionate about the journey that God has determined for her life. She is a devoted wife, mother, and mentor for young women in her community. Hirut’s book, Broken To Shine, is a testament to
how God has guided her throughout her life and how she endured and overcame many obstacles while still shining for God to be seen through her.

Many aspects of Hirut’s life resemble that of many others. Nevertheless, what defines her story is her unique response to life’s circumstances and her faith in God to
embrace and push through with perseverance. Through her experiences, Hirut was shaped to foster her ministry of mentoring young ladies and women and providing them with the tools needed for a faithful walk in Christ and to live a life free from bondage, fear, and doubt. Thus, her goal for Broken To Shine is to encourage phenomenal women to choose to let God’s unfailing love, grace, and mercy shine through them for others to see.

Hirut desires to please God with every part of who she is and to make a positive impact on those around her. Her determination becomes even more powerful knowing that God keeps His promise: “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6.
